Ms. Bonchasse 457/9 is a daughter of the legendary +Mr. V8 380/6 “The Machine” and out of the influential +JDH Lady Murile Manso. When building the foundation of Knox’s herd, we intentionally sought out top-tier outcross females, and when this heifer was offered by the Bonchasse program in 2020, she was an immediate addition. She displays the trademark phenotype of 380/6 daughters—femininity, structure, and production—traits that have made this sire line a cornerstone of our cow herd for more than a decade. On the bottom side, her pedigree ties to one of the most decorated cows in breed history. Murile is the rare female who has produced both National and International Champions, a Show Cow of the Year, and earned titles in Produce of Dam at both the National and International levels. When she arrived at V8 as a young heifer, Knox named her “Miss Shari” in honor of Jeff Richard’s wife, giving this powerful female a sentimental place in our family’s story as well.
