We purchased +JDH Lady Manso 563, a big-boned, deep-bodied female, from our cousin, Lana Jo at J.D. Hudgins. She was 11 years old when we added her to our herd. Still, we knew she had something special, and we were confident she would match well with our V8 bulls.

Her potential quickly turned into impressive results. Her first flush at V8 unveiled a true superstar — Miss V8 532/9 — who commanded a hefty $90,250 at MFM V, purchased by GKB Cattle. In her first show outings, Miss V8 532/9 didn’t disappoint, taking the Grand Champion title at both the Sugar Classic under judge Ryan Rash and the East Texas State Fair under PJ Budler.

Further showcasing her value, in her second flush, +JDH Lady Manso 563 produced another Made for Magic female. The black polled Miss V8 762/9 (P) was sold for $67,500 for one-half interest to Tommy Stoddard. 

Having each of her first two flushes at V8 produce a Made for Magic female is quite an extraordinary accomplishment, affirming that +JDH Lady Manso 563 has a bright future as a donor cow at V8.
